Steer the Herd Charity Dinner was held February 2018 at Seppeltsfield Winery in the Barossa Valley to raise funds for a much needed research study relating to rural based recipients and to create awareness of organ and tissue donation.
This “world first” study was conducted by the University of South Australia overseen by Dr Ian Olver and Dr Kate Gunn and aims to identify issues associated with regional based recipients and to determine how existing support services could be better orientated and new services could be delivered to transplant recipients and their carers on their journey.
Study due to be released in 2020.
