The initiative was held after our event at Bondi when regional Australians had expressed to us the stress accomodation can cause when you are rushing to a capital city, affected by organ and tissue donation. “Scott’s saving Grace” was launched enabling regionally based people to contact us to organise three days accomodation at our partnered hotel chain at no cost to the family. The project is named in honour of Scott Epplestun, who after receiving a double lung transplant 10 years ago passed away this year. He was a dear friend of the Herd of Hope and spoke up about the burden accomodation can cause when many recipients can’t find their voice.
